Oh Mother ! Poem
I was sowed in a belly
Where my Spirit and body was formed
Without legs or hands but with a head
I became the form of a monster
Knowing nothing but to eat and sleep
Yet, I was carefully nurtured to growth
I can’t help, but to say
Oh mother!
Becoming a Little man
My world was no longer comfortable
I just must find another
With great strength, I ruptured my home
Not knowing the great pain I’ve caused
Yet, my arrival was anticipated with great Joy
I can’t help, but to say -
Oh mother!
An entrance to my new world
Not knowing what to expect
I stayed back to prepare for the worst
But a force pushed me out
And I cried, I’m not ready yet
Yet, I was welcomed with an embrace
I can’t help, but to say -
Oh mother!
As a little man, that’s a baby
Not knowing what I need
But sense a desire
And I cry, what is wrong with me?
Well, that’s the only thing I can do
Yet, the same person fulfilled my desire
I can’t help, but to say
Oh mother!
Growing to a young man
Having been schooled, following order
But unaware of the adulthood sphere
Witnessing strange developments
My world is now as if it has ended
My peace was stolen in silence
Yet, she came to my rescue
I can’t help, but to say
Oh mother!
As a full grown man
Can I forget the embrace in joy of entrance?
But now distance have separated us
And duty have trapped me
I journeyed to see her
Seeing her warm smile and embrace
Made me remember her love and pain
I can’t help, but to say
Oh mother!
