WALKING BEFORE GOD
If we must please God, We must learn how to walk by faith.
The bible says without faith it is impossible to please God for he that comes to God must believe that God is, and that he is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him
(Hebrew 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him)
There must be an act of foolishness in human sense in other to walk before God, for the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men.
- CALLED FOR NEW LIFE IN THE OLD WORLD
In (Genesis 12:1) Abraham and his journey of faith is a study case.
He was called to leave his country, his kindred and his father’s house, in other to please God.
There are things we must stop doing in other to enjoy our relationship with God.
As we have seen that of Abraham, We are to stop doing thing that our country, kindred and fathers house are doing that doesn’t please God (II Corinthian 6: 14- 18, I Corinthian 6:9-10, Colossians 3:5-9 ) etc.
- CALLED TO RECEIVE A NEW LAND
In (Hebrew 11:8-10) Abram was called to receive a land; the bible says he lived as a stranger with Isaac and Jacob who are heirs of promise with him.
Though they died, not receiving the promise, but they counted God faithful and God later gave those land to their children (Deuteronomy 7: 2-3).
As God was faithful to keep his promise to Abraham and his children, even so will we if we lived according to God’s will.
Here is the secret of Abraham and men of Faith (Hebrew 11:13-16, John 14:1-3 Isaiah 64:4, I Corinthians 2:9, Rev.22:12- 14) etc.
- WALKING BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT
The bible said, if we are willing and obedient we will eat the good of the land.
In other to walk with God, we should not live our life by our human feelings or what we see but to take God by his words. (II Corinthian 5:7, Psalms 119 : 11, Romans 8:6-8, Joshua 4:4).
God has given us opportunity to excel with him. (Deuteronomy 30:15-16, 19).
Brethren let us follow the host of other believer who has gone before us, for they formed cloud of witnesses before us. Hebrew 12:1-2).
Walking with God is an easy journey if we make up our mind to follow God’s word, with the help of the Holy Spirit we can make it.
Jesus said my Yoke is easy and my burden is light (Mathew 11:28-30).
